My name is Rob Foster. I am a musician in Overland Park, KS, whose training and genuine excitement for music is the foundation of my love and appreciation for it today. At my private viola and violin lesson studio, I teach students of all ages and ability levels. Additionally, I am happy to teach students at their homes throughout the Kansas City area. Scheduling for music lessons is flexible; please feel free to call me to discuss pricing. 

As a child, I received my training in the Suzuki method, and that is the tradition that I pass on to my own students. Ideally, the parent actively participates in the lesson so that the student can practice at home, so I encourage parents to stay involved in their child’s musical education.

While the core of each lesson is about the technical fundamentals of playing and sharing my passion for music, I focus on discipline as well. Discipline is absolutely necessary for developing your proficiency and for growing as a musical artist. My students not only gain a creative outlet through music, but they also come away with important life skills like dedication, time management, focus, and more.
